You may now be eligible. Qualifications have changed. Latest changes include service in Korea to present, Gulf War, Bosnia, serving in zones of Hazards Duty including the operation taking place in the Gulf today. If you need a copy of your DD214 or any Military records you may file a 180 form. This can also be done on or at see below Requesting Military Records , also if you have any question please ask a post officer .

Once eligibility has been established, joining is easy. Please click on the related link For membership Form/application ask a member, officer, or call the post at 610-494-1727 or email request or click on form.pdf to print it. Enclose $20 for membership dues and a copy of your DD-214 or other proof of eligibility. Give it to an officer or member or mail it to:VFW Post 5546 12 & Chestnut St. Trainer,PA.19061,email vfw5546@vfw5546.com and they will gladly act on it right away ,you may ask how long or how your application is doing at anytime. Requesting Military Records
 

To request your military service, medical or awards record, complete a Standard Form 180, (Request Pertaining to Military Records) for DD214. All forms are in PDF format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available free online. Mail the form to the address listed. More information on requesting service record information is available at National Archives and Records Administration.

The information is to be used for guideline purposes only. The separation document or DD 214 MUST reflect campaign medal service to establish eligibility. Service in Korea without the issuance of a campaign medal can be established with additional support documentation. Hostile Fire or Imminent Danger Pay can be established with pay records.
